Elmer Funke Kupper, the managing director and chief executive says that moving into the mobile casino industry will increase Tabcorp’s online presence. The company already employs around 3,000 people across Austrailia and in 2001, the generated revenue was of $4,381.8 million - a success that is expected to be maintained with their new endeavours in gaming.

Their foray into mobile phone gambling has already begun a few months ago when they launched an iPhone gambling application called TAB Sportsbet, which has already been downloaded by more than 100,000 users. In light of this success, the group intends to branch out in the mobile betting industry, and possibly to offer iPhone and iPad casinos as well.

Tabcorp sees the potential in its own statistics of success, and since the online gambling industry is gaining momentum so are the required applications for mobile access to online betting.
