George Clooney started acting on TV in 1978, but he won his fame by playing Dr. Douglas Ross in the popular series ER from 1994 to 1999. From then on he paved his way to international films such as Batman & Robin, Out of Sight and the very famous Ocean's Eleven.

George Clooney received two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2005 for his role in the thiriller Syriana.Clooney is also known for his humanitarian work that includes advocacy for resolving the Darfur conflict as well as  fund raising and creating awareness about international crises.

While working on the movie Ocean's twelve in the Italian capital Rome, Clooney was spotted along with his co-stars Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, together with Michael Douglas – the husband of co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones. They were involved in late night poker sessions, some of them having great abilities at poker, similar to professional players.

In 2006, the headlines stated that Clooney together with Brad Pitt, Clooney  had invested an unknown sum of money in a $3 billion casino-resort in Vegas. Las Ramblas had to open in 2007, however, the developer was having financial difficulties with construction costs and the project was abandoned before it even started.
