Brad Pitt started his acting career as a guest star on TV series, including the popular Dallas in 1987. He became famous with his role in the movie Thelma & Louise in 1991 and his role in the drama Legends of the Fall earned him his first out of four Golden Globe nomination. He also recieved two Academy Award nominations, one of which was for the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2008.

Brad Pitt is often described as one of the world's most attractive men and for this reason, his personal life recieved a lot of media attention. After a relationship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in a marriage that lasted for five years. Nowadays, Pitt is married to Angelina Jolie and together they have six children. The couple are both involved in humanitarian work, and in 2006, they set up the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to aid humanitarian causes around the world.

The link between Brad Pitt and the poker world can be linked back to the making of the movie Ocean's Eleven where together with George Clooney, Pitt regularly played strip poker in the Bellagio casino. Brad is a regular poker player – he joined the Grand Poker Series in June 2009 where he won the third place.

In 2006, magazine headlines stated that Brad Pitt together with George Clooney, had invested an unknown sum of money in a $3 billion casino-resort in Vegas. Las Ramblas had to open in 2007, however, it seems that the developer was having financial difficulties with construction costs and the project was abandoned before it even started.
