Book Review: The Winner’s Guide to Casino Gambling

Edwin Silberstang’s The Winners Guide to Casino Gambling aims to help the reader minimize the house edge and maximize their return. This is obviously no easy task, but Silberstein does a great job in delivering the facts of each specific game. Practically all of the most popular casino games are covered in this book: blackjack, roulette, craps, keno, slot machines and more.

Besides delivering in-depth strategies for each game, the author also goes into detail about the critical concept of money management. He dispels some common myths related to betting systems and goes straight to the fundamentals of casino gambling, that is, the house has an edge – but there are many things you can do to minimize it and increase your winning chances.

The book is quite suitable as an overall introduction to gambling, and although the title is a bit sensational, there is no questionable material in the actual text. Beginners and intermediate gamblers alike should find this book enlightening.
